black paint with swirls- i will attack that soon. but all that engine surface - do you just use underhood type products on this or anything that you guys like to clean and protect engines on bikes-
and any other tips about detailing a bike will be appreciated!!

detailing a bike?
that sounds like a joke
what kind of a bike is it, first of all?
bikes tend to be beaten on more than cars, ssssooooo, I would not detail it too much
also, if it is a sportsbike, lay off the wax/armorall; you don't want the rider slipping off the bike midturn (I tend to grip the tank with my knee in turns, when I hang off monkey-style)
that sounds like a joke

will be sure to use minimal product and buff it twice-
Don't wax the tank if you use pressure from your legs to hold yourself in place - otherwise you'll have some bad nut pain next time you stop quickly.
Use Plexus on the plastic windscreen and headlight covers.
http://www.thetankslapper.com/ makes 3M clear-bra kits for various motorcycles. The adhesive 3M stuff works fine for me, but I've lost a couple of the non-adhestive versions.
