My budding detailing insanity
Any suggestions to change or improve my product selection?
Meguiar's/Mothers QD
Zymol Cleaner Wax
Purple Power APC
Simple Green Citrus Degreaser
Meguiar's car wash
ONR
Meguiar's Interior Detailer
303 Aerospace Protectant
RaggTopp
Porter Cable 7424XP Orbital Polisher w/ 8 Uber Pads (kit from DD)
Blue Magic Leather Cleaner and Conditioner
Eagle One Nevr-Dull
Eagle One Aluminum Wheel Cleaner
DuPont Teflon Tire Shine (just a single bottle while it lasts... damn - this stuff is like mana from Heaven)
Eagle One Tire Shine
Generic dish sponge to apply tire dressing
Mothers Clay Bar kit
RainX Bug & Tar Remover
Meguiar's ScratchX 2.0
Stoner Invisible Glass Cleaner
My S has light swirls, some rock chips, and a couple of scratches on the hood near the windshield.
I was thinking about some Menzerna Power Lock as a post-polish, pre-wax step, but I'm not entirely sold on the sealant concept, and it's $25 frickin' bucks. Granted, I'll probably never run out of the product, but can I reasonably cut this corner or am I really missing out on something here?
edit: I think I am missing a polish? ScratchX is for isolated paint problems, I think, and the Zymol doesn't cut much; I'd want to rely on a dedicated polish rather than a cleaner wax anyway. I don't want anything super aggressive because I don't have a paint depth gauge, so I'm "buffin' blind". Hah... you could probably dig out a double entendre outta there if you looked!

Okay, I'm hoping to take advantage of Detailer's Domain's Fourth of July sale. Any other products to consider? What's a good (effectiveness and price-wise) bundle for the PC 7424XP?
Wheel cleaner and a brush + leather brush if you want. I believe you got a wheel polish/wax it sounds like. ScrathX isn't a good product to own IMO. Be careful to not spray tire shine too much to avoid getting it on the outer tread and create a slippery situation.
While I am against DD.com, and dislike how they whore out sonax. I can guarantee the wheel cleaners they sell will run circles around anything non-acidic you will find at auto zone. You just need to make sure to get a brush to go with a cleaner

This forum is sponsored by Detailers Domain so I won't tread on them and advertise what I like :< except for this one product they don't sell

I haven't found anything that compares with this product. If you or a buddy's car is in a collision, you know how it always has white collision damage on it? This stuff works magic on removing that. I guess you could say its kind of like a clay bar, it just works really well at getting anything that doesn't belong on the paint off that won't come off with a car wash. (I taped up the front of my car for a 1k mile each way road trip last week, the painters tape that got heated up to like 180 deg due to engine + BBlack + Arizona/New Mexico sun left residue that can't be washed off. This stuff gets it right off using one microfiber to apply it, and another high quality high fluff one to remove it).
I find a use for it about once every 6 months and am using a like 4-5 year old bottle of the stuff, just kind of got liquidy but still does its magic. Mostly when I see a buds car has collision damage and they don't fix it I say hey I can clean that up for you. No cost to you and no gimmicks.
You can't find this in stores, O'Reileys carries the step 2 polish only, and maybe some new product that was meant to replace it or some junk but doesn't even compare.
Megs QD is also a weak sauce quick detailer, I use it purely for use with a clay bar. ONR should be better but I have yet to open up my gallon I ordered. I buy a quick detailer with carnuba and smells like bubble gum that is twice the product of the Megs. I got the carnuba because it was like $2-3 more and goes on the door jambs and trunk, places you can't reach with a car wash and doesn't need a real coating of wax.

dwight suggested Meguiar's M205. I've heard good things so I'll add that to my list of products to buy.
@BlackBearTX: I've got a microfiber brush for the wheels that I forgot to list. Will a microfiber cloth suffice to apply leather cleaner and conditioner? I am very interested in that Meguiar's A3016 Deep Crystal Cleaner. I'll read a bit more about it before ordering from Amazon.com. Do you have a suggestion as to where else I might purchase it for cheaper? I don't think AutoZone carries it. Lastly, a QD with some carnuba sounds fantastic for door jambs and like, as you said. Can you provide me with the exact product name?
Thanks for your comments. Does anyone else have their opinions to contribute?

Get rid of tire dressing and add Adam's RTV. It can be left as a wet look or buffed to a matte finish. Good for tires and trim alike. It also doesn't attract dirt and leave that terrible brownish residue on tires like some other tire dressings I've seen.
Stoners Glass cleaner?
I like Westleys Bleche White for tire cleaner. It does a great job, it's cheap, and locally available.

Ah yes, I have a bottle of Stoner Invisible Glass Cleaner. I had forgotten to list it.
As for Adam's VRT, it's very expensive! I am sure it works great, but at over five times the price of the Eagle One Tire Shine, I don't think I can justify it.

Hmm I think if someone added tire dressing once a month it would burn through at an insane rate and would need a gallon of hyper dressing or something. For now I just use a product by wheelwax I only use once a year and would expect to last like 10 years for a bottle. Those guys make the most crazy strong smelling stuff ever. One smells like tuti fruity and the other smells like cinnamon rolls xD.
Anyways, IMO Wheel Wax isn't worth the cost and time it takes to put on your wheels. That's why I use it once a year along with tire shine. I recommend instead concentrating on a good wheel cleaner, and if you want something for cleaning tires buy a gallon of Megs APC+. A gallon is cheap and will last years.
