Need an opinion
I picked up my s2000 about 3 weeks ago. The dealer had waxed it prior to delivery and me reading the information on this forum. After picking it up I went and bought some Meguire's soft wash gel and quick detail from a local car care. I also bought a lambs wool mit and some cotton terry cloth towels. All this was bought before I became educated in the art of S2000 care.
Due to the weather I have not had to wash it until this week.
I have read quite a bit about the Zaino Bros. products and from what I read I am quite impressed.
In your opinion should I use what I got until late summer to invest in the Zaino products? Or..should I bite the bullet and just re-do the detail job the dealer did and get the Zaino on now.
There is nothing visibly wrong with the detail work done by the dealer.
Thanks...

I would bite the bullet now. The dealer probably just used one of the "instant detailer" products. Zaino (or other quality wax products) aren't that expensive and on a new car they are easy to apply (plus the S2000 is so small compared to most cars). Buy the wax of your choice and put it on within the next few weeks.
I would be willing to bet that you will notice a significant improvement with the Zaino. This is not to say that there is anything wrong with the job the dealer did, but Zaino is almost certainly superior to whatever he used. I can see the difference between Zaino and Meguiar's Gold Class, and Meguiar's ain't bad stuff. If you do use the Zaino, go the the Zaino web site and read the instructions and tips carefully. With a new car such as yours, you can probably do without the Z5. You could just get the Z1, Z2, and Z6. If you don't want to spring for the Z7, the car wash you have is probably fine.
