New top.
As we speak, THIS top is being installed on my car. When I dropped it off today, I asked the guy at the shop if it will still be ok to us raggtop to protect it. His answer has me a bit confused. He said that he doesnt like using conditioner's or protectants on tops, because it clogs the pores and doesnt let the top breath. He just suggested I keep the top clean. What do you guys have to say about this? (ive got an email out to the manufacturer of the top, to see what they say)

i say b.s.
without protection, the top will eventually crack and discolor if it is outside in the sun.
most protectants have sunscreens as well as products to condition the material. there are several good protectants for our tops, and raggtopp is one of the good ones... however, make sure that you get the vinyl version.
btw, nice top!! (now take proper care of it)

yeah, thats why i asked here. my old top cracked the plastic window cause i put it down in sub 50* weather
but good for me i get a new top with heated glass window and only have to pay my insurance deductible. dont ask me why they are covering it, i have no idea.

Yeah, I've never heard of such a thing.
Raggtopp keeps winning me over. I imagine Vinylex or 303 would be just as good from a protection standpoint, but Raggtopp doesn't smear all over my back window when I fold the top down like the other two do.

Make sure you buff off the excess when the top is dry. This keeps the product from running/smearing on body or glass surfaces.
