Default New to using a PC

I am new when it comes to using a PC. Curious about what to use for cleaning my pads. I have seen ads for sprays and powders. Would like to get a feel for what gets the best results.
Also a what point do you retire your existing pads? I am using the Edge system.
When you start are you spraying the pad with anything to dampen it ? If so, can you hit it with a mist of water or detail spray ?
Thanks in advance for any info.

For me it's a wash in a bucket with a bunch of dishwashing soap. It's the only thing i've found to get your pads to come out looking like new.

I use my pads as long as they do correction. That usually means as long as there is 1/8 inch of whatever foam you are using on the entire surface of the pad.

I lightly mist my pads from about 18 inches away with one spray of detail spray before starting.
