Default NicSand Auto Glass Resurfacing

Ok, so my windshield is getting outta control. Dirty as heck. There's like this film on it that regular window cleaners are not getting off. Went and picked up this thing called "NicSand Auto Glass Resurfacing." Anybody use this before?

Comes with some foam pads and drill adapter. Looks pretty dummy proof. Box says it's safe, but can any users confirm this?

have not used nicsand before...
a glass polish is your solution, and if that is one then its worth trying, imo.
btw, with any new product (one you have not used before)- always, always try it on a very small area first. if it works in the small area, then go for it!

hey wanabe you ever tried GlassWax, I don't think it is sold in the US anymore?

We actually came up with a very similar product to be used mostly on aircraft, but I am sure it could help here. I'll send you a sample if you'd like once I get some more in.

I wouldn't go that extreme with just a film. If you want to save a few bucks, a swirl mark remover will work fine. Auto glass is a lot harder than clear coat. Autozone/Kragen should sell a glass polish as well. I forgot the brand, but its a med sized black bottle.
