Default NuFinish polish

Back in the 90's I read in a comsumer's report magazine the NuFinish was rated number 1. Over the years I've been using on my Accord(s), Civic & CRX.
For some reason when I bought my S2000 I felt I should try something a little more "upscale". I've tried several more expensive products with different results.
The last time I did a full detail I washed, clay-bar, rewashed & put on a new coat on NuFinish.
I got to tell you, It's NuFinish from now on. It's great! Go on & off very easy. The look is fantastic & I will be it's longevity up against anything.
I know the common thoughts on NuFinish are "it's old technology" But I am more happy with it than any other product thatI've tried. The fact it cost a fraction of the others is nice too.
Just my thoughts.

Over The Counter. As in, "store bought," from something like an auto parts store.

Is it still bad for plastic? NuFinish ruined the windshield trim on a car I owned back in the early 90s, and that really ticked me off.

It hates trim pieces, so mask a lot. It does protect quite well, and it smells uber-strong

i use it on older cars because it's easy to use. at first it feels like a good synthetic sealant does, but it doesn't last nearly as long as they claim.

I was searching for a good product. I actually applied 4 different products to different parts of the car. When I was done, you could not tell the difference between the nufinsh panels & the panels detailed with the more expensive products. I felt the real difference came in the way that the nufinish lasted. It held up way better than the others. Not a little better, way better. I take of my car, but I don't have tons of time for detailing - So, longevity very important to me. The nufinish only cost $7 a bottle!!!

i have used it before and have liked it. It is kind of rough to find good products up here in Alaska and it is nice how it is so easily accessable and works pretty well for what you pay. thats just me tho. Take care.
