Default NXT Meguire's

Hello,
Curious if anyone has used this yet and what they thought?
I've always used Meguire's Cleaner wax (in the red bottle) and have liked it very much.
This new stuff looks promising but I'm curious about results and durability.
How does it look?
How did it hold up after a month or two...or even three?
(I like to wax just twice a year - spring and fall).
Thanks!
H

Many people use it (including me)

Ithink everyone that uses has a good impression on the look it provides. However, there is a big debate on durability. I had good success on the Suzuka Blue S and a White Lexus; Terrible durability on a black Accord.

Check out this link for a heated discussion on the topic of NXT durability

durability is its primary fault...
all other attributes it has been getting good reviews from this board- (remember that it will remove any other products, so if you want to layer you have to lay it down first).

Yeah doesn't seem to last long at all. But I find the booster wax seems to work better than the tech wax.

I did my beater and left it outside for 1 week it rained probably 3 days, then I washed it and it doesn't seem to bead very well anymore

Carnauba would last a LOT longer than that.

Thanks for the link and the tips.
I just bought a bottle but haven't used it yet.
Would you guys recommend just staying with my old product, the cleaner wax?

Wow man, that is a heated debate on NXT. FWIW, I've had very good results with it, switched from the same Zymol you used to NXT and I love it. I applied it at least 5 weeks ago and my car still sparkles and beads like crazy, think it may get a new coat today as a matter of fact.

I've been able to find it in all the local auto parts stores.

....reading throught that Autopia debate, I notice that there are a lot of people that use NXT in conjunction with NXT Tech Wash, is it possible the shampoo is a little too harsh and is stripping the wax? I used Zymol's shampoo until the bottle ran out a few weeks ago and have been using up the rest of a bottle of Rain-X shampoo since. Is it also possible that water conditions in varying parts of the country affect differnet waxes in different ways?

I've tried litterally dozens of waxes in the past, mostly the over the counter ones costing less than $20. I say just try out products and see what you like, seems like there is much personal preference and widely varying results regarding waxes, hard to actually get any real scientific evidence without a test like I read from an NSX guy a while ago.

What I have learned, synthetics give you a "liquid" look, Carnubas give you "depth", this is why it's good to sandwich them.

I used NXT for the first time this morning on both (black) cars. I have been using Meguiar's Gold Class for about 8 or 9 years. The NXT eliminated OR hid some swirl marks that I had in one spot by my gas tank. The application and removal of the wax was very easy and the finish is very slick. I took the S2000 out for a drive afterwards and a kid at a light yelled out nice ride. I am sold on NXT.

So the question is, does it last longer than GOLD GLASS? IS it any shinier?

I waxed mine with NXT a few days ago and I can't tell if it's any shiner. I think it did hid some slight swirls.

nic pic jason... painting your calipers, or detailing your wheels?
gold class should last longer and i would think the shine similar.
