Anyone tried Blackfire wet diamond? Can someone compare it to Zaino which is my regular polish? I would appreciate all opinions on Blackfire Wet Diamond. Link is here:

I think I saw a review for this stuff recently on Autopia. If you do a search I'm sure you'll find the thread.

I have some on order. As soon as I can, I'll try it out and post pictures so that everyone can see if it's a good product or not. Should be interesting to see how it does on the LBP.

Tested it this morning on the +1's car, a '99 Miata that she keeps running through the local "Auto Spa" to get a wash and wax . Anyway, after a nice bath (the car not the +1) she got a coat of Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish and a coat of Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection.

The paint has some chips and dings that are beyond my ability to repair, but for the most part she cleaned up nicely (again the car, not the +1) . I'll be doing my S tomorrow and will post pictures of the final results.

Here's the link to the pictures of the Miata.

Won't be able to get to the S until this weekend (I hope). Once I've finished I'll post pics.

I did change the setting to allow viewing of the full sized photos, that should give a better impression of the shine. On the photo of the trunk you'll see some white stuff on the car, this is from one of the trees in the yard, the stuff was blowing all over the place.

Anyway, I'm impressed with the Blackfire products. I've used Maguire's Gold Class and Zymol on this car before and the Blackfire shine is by far the best.

I applied everything by hand and the applications and cleanup were very easy. I will be getting a PC as soon as I can to get the best possible results.

Just curious, which Zymol have you tried. There are many different versions. The poor performance of the Zymol you can buy at auto parts stores, Target, Wal-Mart, etc. is a far cry from the performance of the less main stream Zymol waxes. Even the Creme, Carbon, Japon, etc. waxes are a step up from the locally available Zymol. However, the Estate Glazes leave the rest of them in the dust in terms of shine.

I've used Menzerna FMJ and that's a great sealant. The Blackfire formula I believe is similar and on Properautocare.com they compare they two in the product description. So, I imagine the Blackfire is pretty nice too.

Well, I finally got around to using the Blackfire products on the S. Here's the details of what I did.

1. Cleaned the wheels with Maguires G9524 Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner and a sponge.
2. Washed the car from top to bottom with Dawn
3. Washed the car again with Blackfire Gloss Shampoo and Conditioner
4. Dried using a Big Blue II drying towel
5. Clayed with the Blackfire PolyClay II Clay bar and lubricant
6. Polished with Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish
7. Applied a coat of Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection
8. All polishes and sealants applied by hand using microfiber sponges and removed with microfiber cloths
9. Glass cleaned with Stoner Invisible Glass

Anyway, I'm very pleased with the results and right now the S looks better than it did the day I picked it up.

I've posted new pictures and I know several people wanted to see a LBP without the windshield tape, here it is.
