Default Paint chip on windshield wiper arm

As the topic states, I have a paint chip on my windshield wiper arm. I'm wondering what the best way is to go about repairing it. The paint on them is a flat black trim paint, with the chip going right down to the metal. On other, older vehicles I've owned I've repainted the entire arm. I'd start by removing them from the vehicle, sand them a little to clean them up, and then spray them with a flat black paint. Is there a better way to do this though? I want the end result to look good as new. I thought of using some black trim paint and simply using a toothpick to dab into the chip, but I'm concerned that this will look messy and the color won't match really... unless all trim paint is basically the same color. Has anyone done a repair like this before?

Thanks in advance.

-Doug

light sand and repaint should get it, or bass's idea is a good one-
cant be that expensive to get brand new ones!

Good idea about getting new ones. I'll have to check into that.

For future reference, and in case anyone is interested...

Hardtopguy sells each arm for approx $27 each. Both are the same price.

thanks for the info...
makes the thread complete for future reference.
and now you have brand new arms instead of old repainted ones for not too much difference in price.
and if you want to practice repainting, you can always do that too-
good post & thread!
