Default Paint Pens and Silverstone?

Has anyone had any luck with the paint pens matching the Silverstone? I'd like to try them for the nicks here and there, but have read (through the search) that silver owners were unhappy with it. Mine is Silverstone 2001. Anyone else try this combinaton?

Although the paint is a perfect match, the metallic does not flow evenly leaving a darker color. I have tried them on my Silverstone with not so good results. Want to buy a pen?

Thanks for the offer. I had similar results from the touch up bottle. A couple good sized chips on my hood from a gravel truck skipped a stone twice on the hood and twice on the windsheild..four whacks in a fraction of a second. Anyway, the paint doesn't seem to match with that either. It's duller, and darker on the repaired spots.

The problem is that the paint, when applied by a spray gun, can disperse the metallic "chips" in a uniform manner, but it is impossible to do that with a pen or touch-up brush. So it's virtually impossible to match paint colors when touching up a metallic car.
