Default Painting your calipers

For those of you that have done this ....

1. Is the quality good, does it last ?

2. Is one kit enough to do all 4 calipers ?

3. Do the decals last as well ?

I have a GPW was thinking red paint with with white decals....any opinions

Mods if this doesn't belong here move as you see fit.

Thanks

Bill

I don't know on this one either. I love the look of red calipers with white s2000 logo on them. I am thinking about doing it for my silverstone. I would like to know too. If not, I may have to remove them and have them powder coated because I don't want to have to deal with peeling paint.

I used the G2 system on my calipers 2 years ago and it still is looking good. I went with the Red with white decals, no discoloration or peeling. I also went thru the extra steps of grinding before painting. I highly recommend this as it looks much better. There was more than enough paint in the one kit. Another member (Pushin9) went as far as removing the calipers and disassembling them to grind and paint.

i painted mine silver almost 4 years ago... they look like new today.
i wanted a subtle, cleaner look. i also like the more bold colors, but just not on my car-
the decals are less than a year old, but they are holding up too.
i used the brush on epoxy paint from seriousauto.com (i think its a miata site)-
and the decals from decalgirl (?) maybe decalgal?

this is what they looked like recently when i took the pics, and this is also what they look like today:

My paint is holding up well...going strong... I put it on...errr 3 weeks ago

I put 3 coats on and there was still MORE than enough paint left. I think you can paint like 3-4 sets of s2000 calipers with multiple coats on each set with just one kit... thats how much I had left over...

I didn't get any decals or anything so can't comment on that.

I did miss a few spots yes even after 3 coats i kept missing the same spots over and over. I guess tahts what I get for doing them at like 2 am when I am dead tired.

I painted mine about 3 years ago and they still look brand new also. I can't comment on the decals as I don't have any. And yes, there is more than enough for 4 calipers as everyone else has said.

I painted mine using the G2 about 2 years ago. My fronts look as good as the day I did them but my rears are starting to come off. I have no idea why as they were both prepped the same way.

that is strange since the fronts do most of the braking (or at least they should be doing most)...
is it both rears, or just one of them (if one it often means that one was not prepped completely- if both that usually means they are getting too hot)?
have you had your brakes checked lately-
