Default Is paste wax better than liquid?

Hi all.
Just wondering if anybody has any data regarding liquid vs paste wax.
It seems paste wax would last longer since it is solid at room temp. but would love to hear more educated/experienced opinions on the subject.
Thanks
Daniel

dont really thing the form is as relevant as the carnuba content-

my vote on the carnuba side is for the solid p21s- its easy enough... doesnt need to be liquified!!

and if you are looking for staying power, you should be looking at synthetics-

It might have been a little late for asking because I bought the meguiars NXT paste wax and applied it yesterday.
Let me tell you, it seemed more work than usual, (especially the removal part). On the other hand, the shine was definitely noticeable and we are talking about a brand spanking new satin silver metallic '05 acura rsx type S; Did one half of the hood and compared to the other, and it was significant, although again, it seemed more work than with the liquid waxes I've used before. (or, it could be that I've gotten spoiled by my S, because it is so small, washing and waxing is a breeze)this car seems BIG in comparison.
Thanks Wanabe

you are welcome dangarza-

i wonder if maybe you applied the megs a little too heavy... should not be hard to remove.
btw, one of the reasons i like p21s so much is how easy on and easy off it is, especially for a carnuba. it is wipe on wipe off type- i used to have my daughter help me with my car (when she was young enough to be interested in helping!)- i apply and she follows right behind removing almost as i apply.
now its the old fashioned apply to an area and grab the removal towel for a quick removal.
your nxt will give a good shine, but i still suggest that you try some p21s- and btw- p21s half of your hood and meg the other half... then you will understand the difference. nxt is a good product and great shine- but imo (and i am the first to admit that its just an opinion!) p21s wins due to the easy on easy off and longer lasting and maybe even a bit wetter shine.)

Hey wanabe: Because of work, family etc obligations I have very little time for this kind of work. Can you apply this P21S carnauba as is? (That is, without fancy polish or prep beforehand?) and on top of this other stuff (NXT now on the acura and meguiars gold class on my S?).
I have been tempted to use it, but I guess because it is not immediately available I "took the path of least resistance" and just bought this other, more widely available stuff. But if it's easier to apply and lasts longer with better shine I will go for it.
Thanks again.
Daniel

daniel- yes, you can apply p21s over your nxt...

all you have to do is prep the car if it needs it (clay or polish) as you would with any protection...

if it doesnt need it, you just wash, dry and p21s!

i can't vouch for it, but people say P21S and S100 are virtually identical products, giving the same look and protection... Only S100 is 1/2 the price. I've about gone through my tin of P21S, so I might try the S100 next time.
