Just took delivery of my new PC 7424, and I can't wait to use it this weekend. However, I've noticed that the counterweight it comes with says for use with 5" pads only. Do I need to now purchase a 6" counterweight so that I can use my 6" Edge2k pads? Or can I use the supplied 5" counterweight without any negative effects other than possibly a little more vibration?

Any personal experience/insight on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

I'm sure you'll be fine using the 5" counterweight. Most of the threads I've read where people have tested the two weights side-by-side have said that there was no discernable difference between them. I haven't tested the two different weights myself, but I've used my 6" counterweight with pads from 6.5" to 4" without issue.
