PC, UDM, Cyclo, Festool, etc

The Cylco is heavier than the UDM, it needs 2 edge adapters, and you need to buy 2 pads of each color, its hard to maneuver, and it has only ONE setting.
But from what Ive heard its got a motor that never gives up. Other than that, Personally I think its an outdated tool.

You must not have ever used one because the Cyclo truly glides across paint better than any machine i've ever used. I do sometimes wish it had a speed switch though.

Who said you had to use edge pads and adapters

Non the less, you have to buy 2 pads for each application.I have used the Cyclo on several occasions and it does vibrate less than the PC/UDM DAs, but if that was a concern, the Festool takes the cake in vibration AND power!.
Anyway you could put a variable potentiometer(Controls the voltage to the actual motor) in the machine? I'm thinking you could run one in the middle of the switch circuit, so you control the amount of voltage coming from the switch, which would regulate the speed of the motor....
Wiring guide would be helpful, but this would be my guess
(Wow, I'm actually putting some of my college classes to use.... HAHA)
