I believe there were quite a few legitimate reasons..

What if you paid, say, $10,000 a year for a front-page forum section sponsorship that sees, say, 5,000 views a day. And he makes... $.05 per visit on average. Obviously, who knows the raw data.. but this is hypothetical. So Phil with those numbers, he's make around $250 a day from s2ki alone, or around $90k per year. Now, the traffic has been cut to a mere 2,000 views because people simple CAN'T find it.. or just give up going there since it's no longer convenient.

He's just lost $54 THOUSAND, off of a "business decision". It's easy to say "so it's just one click" when you don't have any personal, or business money invested in to the community... but when you do, it's quite different. If I'm paying nearly the same as the other forum sponsors, I'd be FURIOUS.

On top of it all managements complete lack of sympathy and explanation brings a lot out in to why so many of us are unhappy.

Yes, it's a WRONG move, and YES it's more inconvenient. But the admins ENSURE it's a 'business decision'. What's so business about it? Do they realize they're going to lose potential new and old members because of this? I'm starting to think to them "it's only $20 here and there." And if that's their thinking.. not a very good business model

it would be great to have WW back as a main category seems like the traffic is dead, if I had anything to do with it I can leave as a sponsor to better the community, I'm a team player here.

I actually like more sub forum groupings -- I think the front list of forums is rather overwhelming and have always found that FINDING the Wash and Wax forum a bit difficult when surrounded by so many other forums. I'm all for it if it means other forums get sub-forumed as well. I can understand why it ruffles feathers for those that are strongly involved in this particular sub-community of S2Ki.com though.

I like the appearance section.

Logical grouping and good to see W&W back on the main forum index.

Don't know if that was the plan all along but I don't think anyone would have made an issue if this was the known, eventual outcome.

Perhaps lack of communication all-around.

I like the revised layout, with Appearance showing up on the front page along with its subcategories, a LOT. Looks great!
