Pine Sap....
Well it finally happened. A pine tree was so excited to see my S that he left some sticky clear goo on my car. Im buying a car cover today if i can make it to the dealership in time but as far as removing the sap....any suggestions?
bad tree!!
wd-40, mineral spirits, or a sap remover are usually my first tries-
tarminator is a good product if you need one that is made for the job

wd-40 is fine for the paint- dont get it all over the car, just the area that needs it
it will remove your wax, so you will have to rewax when you are all through getting the stains off.
for the mark, first try clay- slim chance, but it might work.
then a "paint cleaner" or swirl remover- both are light polishes and they should get anything that the clay cant get. i would do it with a machine, but for a small area you can do it by hand- make sure to finish the polishing front to back-
in our "how tos" at the top of the board are some videos on polishing-

with MR.Wannabe.Just removed,one from my trunk,tonight.
Soaked it,(not all over the car...) with WD-40,and remove it,with a MF towel.
Works just fine.
Will this process also work on the windows? My girlfriend parked under the tree last night (so I could put my car in the garage. True love right there
). Anyway, this morning there was of course some sap on the window. I would have cleaned it off before I left, but I was late. I just want to make sure that this will work as well on the window.
And...I did not use her suggestion. 'Ooh, just turn on the windshield wipers". haha.
