Default Pinnacle wax

My wife is going to think I am nuts!! I just totally detailed my car a month ago with one coat nxt, two coats mothers pure caranuba on top. I just bought some pinnacle signature series II and their spray wax for touch up. . Now my question is do I strip off my current waxes or just apply The pinnacle over what is already there. This waxing thing is a PITA. It is good thing I enjoy doing it.

Thanks

Jay

Jay,

You can certainly just add it on top. However, I am personally of the opinion that to really evaluate a wax you need to strip off whatever is already on the car before putting down a new wax.

I consider wax (or sealant) to be like a lens which you are looking through to see the paint. Combining different waxes/sealants on top of each other is like looking through multiple lenses. This is why adding a wax on top of a sealant changes the look, but it doesn't look exactly like the wax would alone.
