Default Polish stock wheels

I am thinking to have my stock wheels polished (not Chromed). Does anyone have any comments or advises you can give me?

Thanks,

Tim

Once you remove the clearcoat you will have to polish them regularly. Do you really want to do that?

If they still look good I would leave them. I would only polish them if my wheels were already beat up and needed to be freshened up.

Can you not get them cleared once theyre polished so you dont have to keep getting them redone? I think itd look cool, but I also wouldnt do it.

What happened, I had my rear tires replaced and Discount Tires scratched my wheels, one at each. Not bad, about 1/2 inch long and 1/8 inch wide. But every time I look at my car, every time I look at them!... Cheezzz! I cant live with them.

Now, after polished, I dont think clear coat will make them look as good as without. Every weekend, either I do this or that to my car, I dont think I should worry about detail my wheels once a month.

What I hesitate is, I have to put my car on jack stands, take them off to tire store, have tire store gets the tires off and than reverse the whole process once they are all polished. Huhh... I think I will do it anyway. Thanks for your thoughts and comments.

It'a a pain to keep raw aluminum polished. It oxidizes quickly.
