Porter Cable buffer
Alright, I give up. javascript:add_smilie("
")
I said I wasn't going to become one of the "anal" people that constantly wash and wax their cars.
I'm finding I enjoy keeping it clean almost as much as driving.
Anyway, now I unexpectedly find myself in the market for a PC. Can anyone tell me where is the best place to get one and how much I should pay?
I don't "have to get it right now", but would like to within the next month or so.
Also, I notice several different model numbers of the porter cable brand when i search the internet, which ones do I want, and are there any I should stay away from?
Thanks,
Willinathen

7424 is the usual model online. I got the basic model here: http://www.properautocare.com/index.html
If you have a Lowe's, look for the 7336. Same thing and often on sale.
Odds are you will pay in the $120-130 range. I've seen them as low as $109 at Lowes, but usually $119-129 on sale.

I would go with the Edge pads. They are 2 sided so its basically 2 pads in one. Here is a link to the kit I bought.

Depends on what you plan to use it for. I've found a medium cut and a couple of light cut pads do the trick for a fairly wide range of polishing. I don't use the PC for paint protection, as I prefer to do that by hand.
