my vote is for my trusty old pc...
it has been with me for the past 7 years or so-
never complained, asked for oil, or even hic-upped!
great machine, does a great job and good price.

My vote is for the PC. But it's not really a vote against the Griot's machine since I've never personally used it. I would go with the PC because there are many more accessories and pads available for it. This makes it a much more versatile tool and is partly responsible for the machine's popularity.

I've got both, and will say that there's not much difference in the two from a performance standpoint. I retire my PC to the wood shop now and the Griot's machine now performs the polishing duties. If I need to use the PC again I'd have no doubt it would work fine.

I would go with the Meguiars version. Its just about the same as the PC, but comes with lifetime warranty for about $30 more.
