Default Pristine Auto: Milano Red RSX-S

Had the joy of doing this car over two days and logged about 12-14 hours on it. The finish had quite a bit of swirling, micromarring, fading, etc. It took quite a bit of polishing to get everything back to how it should be. Ive been looking forward to this car for awhile and it did not disappoint at the end. The turnaround was remarkable and the owner was thrilled. This was a complete exterior rejuvenation.

Products Used:

Makita 9227C
Porter Cable 7424
Menzerna 106FF/SIP
Lusso Oro
Meg's NXT
303 Aerospace Cleaner
Chemical Guys Clay Bar
Stoner's Invisible Glass
Lake Country yellow, orange, white, black, blue pads
Detailer's Domain MF towels

Pics:
First, notice the awful swirling to begin with.

The spoiler was VERY faded and looked to be Milano Pink instead of Red. It cleaned up real well as you'll see in the 50/50

Final Shots:

And one by my car as the owner was pulling out.

Thanks for looking!

Awesome work Matt! The spoiler in particular looks like it's been resprayed. Is it true that Milano Red is a basecoat of pink, with a purple tinted clearcoat? I remember reading that many years ago.

Anyway...makes me wish I was more into detailing than I was when, many years ago, my Mother owned a Milano Red Integra. At the time, I thought the paint was just a goner.

i had a milano red prelude with a milano pink spoiler. something about them just makes them fade faster than the other body panels. the tops of the bumpers were faded too.

Another great job Matt.
Lot of time and elbow grease there.

wow thats a nice come-back! pink certainly isn't the color i'd want for a car, and red looks much better!

how'd the owner react? did he recognize his own caR?
