Default Problem with microfiber towels and wax removal.

Does anyone have problems removing wax with microfiber towels? When I try to remove Z-2 or Z-5 with my mf towels, they leave behind streaks of the dried product. At first I thought it was the Zaino, but if I take my finger and drag it across the surface, I can remove the remaining Zaino. I end up having to spray the surface with Z-6 to remove the remaining product. Has anyone seen this problem before? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Might need a little more elbow grease. I know all micro-fiber towels are not the same, maybe you need a better one.

Your using WAY too much Zaino... You can also try diluting the Zaino by adding water and shaking it up before applying.

yup... ditto the above. the right amount of zaino looks like you didnt put on enough! should be a very light haze.
porter cable makes this a lot easier... but does use lots more product to apply less!

I've been trying to apply thin layers. I've been using a dime-sized amount of Zaino and applying it to half a panel at a time. Is that too much?

Either too much Zaino or too little drying time.

I will say this - I tried a coat of Klasse SG over the Zaino, and it left a gummy, hard to remove result, so I would not recommend that combination.

Also, make sure you are using the right MF - they are all not the same, - you want the closed loop style (lt blue). The lt green and dark green ones are different. One is for detailing, the other for glass.

Are you using ZFX with your application of Z2 and Z5?

Interesting. I've been using Pakshak microfiber towels because I read such good things about them on this board. I've been using the light green towels to try and remove the Zaino. Should I be using the light blue ones instead? I thought all the Pakshak Ultra - Micro Fiber Towels were the same regardless of the color.

I just bought a pack of yellow ones from Costco. Other than being made in the U.S., I don't really know how good they are.
