quality alternatives to rain-x?

Default quality alternatives to rain-x?

is there anything better than rain-x for water repelling?

There's another product I think it's called Aquapel which is supposed to be pretty good. From what I've read it lasts longer than Rain-X and is easier to apply.

I remember reading somewhere (might have been autopia) that it was possible to apply certain selants to glass in the same way as you would apply it to paint, i believe the particular product being discussed was fk1000p. If this is true I think it would work really well...
