Default Question about the edge pads system...

Hey everyone... I recently took everone's advice and bought some of the edge pads and the adapter. Here's the problem: I can't get the adapter to screw in. I have the Porter Cable 7336. It comes "stock" with a hole to screw in a sander or polishing pad, which you then use the wrench to tighten everything up - as you all know. However, the hex side of the Edge adapter goes into the Edge pads, while the other side has threading for a screw to mount into it. My PC also has threading for a screw - but no bolt.

What do I need to get so that I can use the adapter?

(kinda silly if you think about it... I need an adapter for an adapter)

Some help would be HUGELY appreciated, as I'm detailing a beautiful Evergreen BMW M Coupe tomorrow!

BTW, I did a full detail on a silver Boxster today... I can't wait to get pictures up it's my best work yet! The owner said the car literally looked better than when they bought it brand new at the Porsche dealership, and the paint was the smoothest I've ever felt on a car!

Justin,

Sounds like you accidentally ordered the Edge adapter for rotary machines. Contact the company you bought it from and arrange to exchange it for the PC adapter.

Autogeek is great. I do 90% of my car care shopping there and their customer service is top notch. I'm sure they'll have a new adapter out to you in no time.
