Default Question For All Zaino Users.......

Hey guys, I ordered the zaino products yesterday by phone and it should be here tomorrow maybe even today. From what I read about it, here and at the zaino website, I was hooked. So my question is this....They recommend a 100% cotton towel made in usa to be used to buff out the z2, z1, clay bar and so forth. How many towels will I need tho? Can I use the same towel to buff out everything? And I forgot to ask the person how many applicators will I get (Need)??? Should I reuse the same applicator for each step? Thanx again fellas for any help or advice u can give me

Tony,

My personal preference is a separate towel for each product (thus 3: 1 for Z-18, 1 for Z-2, & 1 for Z-6).

For applicators, I used 2: 1 for Z-1 & 1 for Z-2. I believe you get 1 for free with a minimum $ order.

That's my $0.02

I get by (easily) with 2 towels and 1 applicator per product.

Strongly encourage using the Z6 spray LIBERALLY on the Z2 applicator however - Results in much better/even coverage.

I agree with Spryguy, definitely spray your applicator with Z-6 when you're applying the Z-2....one of the "tricks" from the Zaino site.

And if you don't have Z6, make sure to at least dampen the applicator before applying any polish. It goes on much smoother and more even.

Instead of using Z6, I run it under the faucet then wring it out leaving the entire pad damp. Makes applying that much easier. You can get much thinner with this method!!!

I use one applicator, but use one product on each side on one end. You don't have to use a lot of Zaino and there's no buffing so I keep all the product on one end of the applicator in a horizontal line and just wipe it on. Works great!!

Honestly, there have been tests done on microfiber towels and only about 50% are the quality I would use on my clearcoat. The other 50% scratch. I would just go and buy the big bath towels as they always work perfectly.

Sorry, I phrased that wrong. It's more of a quality control thing I think because it really doesn't matter what brand. If you get a good cloth, it works great. If you don't, it will scratch.

I just prefer not to play russian roullette with my car
