Yup tinted clear... Makes a mess out of buffing pads... I had to use a junk panel to get the red out of them after detailing one, won't wash out

^^sorry for offtopic but, we have same problem after working on SS ferrari and evo paints, i have found out not so long ago that zep purple works great to clean pads, however i dont know if its messing with adhesive of pads or not, so far no problems, its cut 4:1
i sprayed it on pad that i used to polish aluminum and waited couple mins, after that just rinsed it off, i was amazed since nothing else touched that blacked out pad

This type of paint is called SINGLE STAGE. It is not a 2 step base coat clear coat system. To make it simple the base and clear is mixed together. Single stage will "chalk" up quicker than base coat/clear coat. When you buff red will come off the car. Thats normal. Single stage can only be sprayed with solid colors. red,white,black.. Nothing wrong with it but it needs to maintained more.

Chiming in,,,

I have an '01 NFR that is still in pretty good condition. Was just wondering what I should use (expert opinion or fact) to get the absolute shine/luster?

I have used Only Meguier's since owning it and it looks great.

in my defense. if somebody didnt look at those buletins and was gona polish the car would say its SS paint becouse of paint transfer onto the polishing pad but i dont know if amount of paint on pad would be different or not. i would imagine it would be but if it would be enough to tell. i guess ill wait till we get NFR car to work on

Watch out man Sata3000's gang of "vintage" owners are going to fight you to the end defending this guy even if he is wrong.

CN: In another thread dude offers total swirl removal in an hour so I ask him for to post his process/products others get mad saying I'm out of line to ask a bodyshop "pro" such things.
