I think you only add 2 ounces to 2 gallons of water for car wash, and I think it's even less for a QD. I think this stuff is really concintrated.
LOL a gallon should last you a long time. But I think you will be happy with the product.

Turtle Wax "Wax as you dry" is heavily wax laden. Some of the other Meguair's detailing sprays are fairly wax laden. Eagle One Ultra Gloss has little or no wax content.
Wax as you dry is a spray-n-wax product, it isn't marketed as a detail spray.

Is your Meguiars statment a hunch? Meguiars make many detail sprays both consumer and professional. I bet you'll find most contain no wax.

No, no hunch. I had a bunch of spray detailers at one time, but gave most of them away because of the difficulty in wiping off the wax smears they left. I can't even recall the names of all of them. All I remember was the Meguair's was in a red spray bottle.

The label on the "Wax as U Dry" said it could be applied dry, so I assumed it was meant to be a detailing spray also. On the subject of whether a detailing spray is wax laden or not, I have some Griot's Garage Speed Shine that is sold as a detailer that has just a bit too much wax in it for me. On the other hand, I have a pro product called Ardex 4288 Spot Delivery" that has no wax, but maybe a bit too much cleaner! Seems to remove too much wax! I'm going to dilute that stuff and try it again.

I would second the vote for Poorboy's Spray and Wipe. I buy it in 5-gallon containers. It suspends the grime on the car a bit more than some others and thus can be used on a car that is dusty. As for final inspection and such, those should really only be used on a clean car and not be used TO clean your car. Basically, you are dragging dirt across the paint and this will lead to marring if you are not careful.

The No Rinse is a great suggestion. I have not tried the Optimum but use the product that it is based off of, Protectal Quick and Easy Wash (QEW). The rinseless wash is great if you are careful even on a pretty dirty car. I use the QEW, two buckets with grit guards, and a Pak Shak waffle weave to dry and get great results.

my favorite is QuikShine from ClearKote. I've been through about a gallon of the stuff. It leaves the surface super-slick, is a great lubricant, is easy to wipe up and doesn't have a scent that I can detect.

The WAUD products are definitely NOT also QD's. I've got some AquaWax spray and it definitely does NOT go down like a QD, nor provide the lubrication that a QD needs to to prevent scratches and safely lift dust and pollen and such.

I will often stop and wash and rinse my car at the DIY spray booth. The last few seconds before time runs out I will drizzel the hot wax over the hood and trunk.
What are your guys opinion of this stuff.? Does it really add a shine? My car is still pretty new and always looks pretty shiney no matter.
If the car was a darker color, maybe I could actually tell weather this wax actually does anything or not.
Question is- OK to use? Better not to use? doesn't make any difference?

My fav WAS Eagle One "Wet Look". No waxy smears, and a brilliant shine. It's not made any longer. The Folks at Eagle One told me that their "Wipe & Shine" sold now is the same stuff. I tried it, and no it ain't! The "Wipe & Shine" is a good product, however. But it just doesn't have that outrageous shine the "Wet Look" had -- and I miss it!
