Default question- wheels and lights

guys what is the best product to clean wheels with? I have Volks GT-F's and there painted blue, i used something from eagle and it took the paint off and left a haze on the rim that i had to get professionally buffed out, anyway i dont wanna go thru that again so what is the best wheel cleaner for the front and back of rims? and also what do you use to clean the headlamps im startingt to get a haze on those too.
Thanks
Tony

tony-

you want to always keep wheels wet when cleaning them. if a cleaner (usually this happens with acid based cleaners) dries on the wheels it can pit or etch the wheels.

i use a brush and usually use the same shampoo that i use on the paint for my wheels. if they get extra grime, i like p21s wheel cleaner. we have a good thread on how to clean wheels. i will track it down and post it back here.

the headlights will depend on just how bad they are. my fav is plexus, but it wont cut into serious haze. for that you gotta go plastic polish. we also have some good threads on this so i will try to track one of those for you too.

nothing beats good ol' shampoo and water for my rims... and i put a bit of wax on em after... not that it lasts with the heat from braking but it makes it pretty
