I just used the HD cleanser and the Japon wax, and after applying I was expecting a smooth very slippery feel to the paint. But I only got a slight "slippery feel". The finish looks ok but I really can't tell if it is better than the cheap stuff. From what I've read, the real Zymol should be better for the life of the paint, but has anyone else had the same experience? Should I put another coat on to get that slippery feel? Or does slipperiness (sp?) matter?

I have found that you have to put on a few coats and the shine keeps getting better. How it feels has always stayed about the same.

thanks - I'll keep on using it...the car has been out all winter - it might need extra coats, I'm gonna miss the smooth as silk feel though.

Are you following the directions to the T and using all Zymol towels? They have very very specific specs on everything!

Yup - the guy that I bought it from drilled it into me for about an hour or so...I did notice after a rain storm that the paint felt smooth to the touch. Kind of like when I used the cheap Zymol...after I applied the wax all over and buffed, I spinkled water over it and dried the car (people at the car wash thought i was nuts). Anyway, what is your experience like Pinky? Do you get an almost greasy, slippery finish? Maybe it's the quality of water being used? Dunno...
