Default New paint job care question

Ok, so I just got my car painted. The shop says no wax for three months. I plan on Zainoing which is technicaly not wax. My question is, if anyone knows, will the Zaino harm anything? I plan on waiting until the begining of April before the Zaino so about 2 months will have passed. This should be OK, right?

Doesn't matter what product you plan to use, Zaino, carnauba, etc, you need to let the paint cure. The shop is right. Leave it for at least 3 months before putting anything on it.

You may be asking about waxing new cars. The paint is typically heat cured at the factory, so waxing isn't an issue.

Plus we are in the winter season and the temps. are cooler which may take paint a little longer to set up.In addition if you did wax now and something happen to the paint the shop may not stand behind the work because you were told to wait.....just my thoughts

How much was your paint job? Did you stay with a factory color or do an entire repaint with a new color?

I got into a front end accident and have all new front end sheetmetal so it had to be painted. I stayed with Berlina for now, but I plan on going Monte Carlo in a few years. I did get a nice Veilside hood out of the deal though!!
