Does Dawn remove everything? Like layers and layers of polish? Does it remove the clearcoat from the factory?

 

Dawn will remove wax but will not damage the clear coat. The alkaline content in Dawn makes it a good wax stripper.

 

It would remove polish right? Polish/Wax same thing right?

 

Dawn will remove about anything except Zaino.

 

What about Liquid Glass?

Dawn will not remove Zaino. I belive Sal recommends isopropyl alcohol to remove Zaino.

I think that using Dawn will be futile. Today I tried to remove the polish from the foam pad applicator with Dawn and it didn't work! After many applications of Dawn, I was able to get some suds, but the polish was still in the applicator. The funny part of this was how clean the applicator was.

I'm not using Zaino, I'm using the same type of polish from Liqui-Tech called Finish First. It's a polymer polish, just like Zaino. The Ferrari owners liked it better than all other waxes/polishes.
