Default Reapplication intervals for wax, etc.

Since this is the area for foremost experts on detailing, I was wondering what I should apply and how often a hand application of wax/sealant. I just buffed the hell out of my paint and then glazed and waxed it a week ago and it came out incredible, but I was thinking about hand applying wax once or possibly twice a month thereafter before I take my 3 step process again in the fall. I used Mother's paint cleaner, Meguiars glaze sealant and Mother's carnauba wax by the way.

Carnauba lasts between 3-6 weeks depending on weather conditions. Does your car see a lot of rain or blazing sun? Stick to the 3-4 weeks time frame.

On my garage queen sealant can last 6-9 months or longer.

Oh its a daily driver and it sits outside in the maritime climate of the Jersey Shore. So I will definetely reapply every 3-4 weeks.

Here's what I would do then. Get a good couple of coats of sealant (Zaino) as your base and then top with carnauba every 3 weeks. Every 4-6 months i'd strip it all and start over.

agree except that i would apply more synthetic over the top after a month or so, and you could go longer if you want before you strip it off (not many of us do, but its cause we love the detail process and when you polish you will remove any protectants on the car).
