Default removing front badge

i am going to the body shop today to get a dent taken out of the drivers door, and i want them to also remove the front badge. I know it just takes some heat and dental floss but im wondering about the residue....is it the same stuff as the side "S2000" emblems are put on with. Im just worried its going to be alot of work to make it look clean after he removes the badge. any suggestions will help.

If you go to Rick's Site where there are Installation instructions, you can see how the old badge is removed by looking at the installation of Rick's new badge.

edit: i thought the front was just glued on, not bolted in and glued. anyone think it would look good to paint the front H badge berlina black? or maybe flat black for some contrast? i just wanna get the chrome off the front and do something different, but not go the ricks route. thanks guys.

There are holes behind the badge...
On top of that, there may be a ghost H when you are done. so if you aren't planning on having these holes filled and your bumper repainted, you may want to hold off.
I covered the holes w/ an "S" badge from the side of the vehicle. So my holes are covered, but I do have a ghost H there if you look close enough.
The main reason for this is because of the effects of weather and time combined w/ urethane over metal.
If you look at most cars the bumpers tend to age differently than the metal panels. It's all about the materials and paint.

ooh... either flat or gloss berlina would look sweet, I think.
do the same to the fender and trunk emblems.
