Default Removing sap from fresh detail

I detailed a 911 Porsche Turbo on Thursday and parked my freshly detailed Jeep Wrangler on my customers property. I didn't realize that he had a lot of trees on his property and when I finished the surface of the Jeep felt like sandpaper. I applied Wet Diamond all paint protection followed up by Midnight Sun Ivory carnauba wax on the Jeep and my question is if I clay bar the sap off will it effect the finish. I have a Blackfire compatible detail spray that I was hoping to spray on after clay barring without having to start all over.

Sorry, but you're going to need to re-wax the parts that you clayed.

I thought so. No big deal as the Blackfire is easy to apply and take off.
