ok i heard that you tape off the surrounding area, 2000 grit sandpaper in water, Rubbing compound, and Wax.

Any other things i can use besides sandpaper.

If your headlights are too deeply scratched, you'll need to start with sandpaper - start at 1500 and work up to 2000, then 2500, then use PlastX.

Agreed on the fine grit sandpaper.
Powerball works very well as long as you've got a strong drill.

I've also used my PC and a 4" cutting pad (smaller rotation, more cut) and PlastX and it did wonders on the g/f's civic lenses.

How much cut does plastX have I read people like to use it as a final step plastic protectant.

it doesnt have much cut at all, its noted on the bottle its a cleaner/polish. you should use it as exactly as it says, to clean plastic and to give it a nice polish.

I have seen people use Eagle One nevr-dull wadding polish on their head lights

But now after looking at the picture it says "cleans and polishes all metals." So i'm not sure if it is ok on plastic (even though I've seen people use it on their head lights)?

i would probably not use that. just stick with a plastic cleaner/polish. im sure a metal polish is far more acidic and abrasive
