Default Rubber sticking to paint

Any neat freaks track there cars???

Here the problem. On track days the rubber(from tires) that is kicked up on the track leaves streaks on the paint. Most people remove them with GASOLINE!!!!!!!!!!

There has got to be a better way. My thoughts are that I good layer of synthetic wax will help it from adhering, but how would you go about removing it without killing the paint.

agree that a few coats of synthetic, topped by carnauba would go a long way to making the rubber easier to remove from the paint.
i would then just wash the car with a good quality shampoo and i use a separate mitt for the lower parts of the car. gonna need to scrub harder and be sure to wash that mitt out really well afterwards.
if this doesnt get it, some bug & tar remover will... but then you need to rewax.

for future track events, tape up the areas that are most heavly hit / covered with blue painters tape =)

Areas most hit are, oddly enough, the top of the hood and all down the sides, that would be a lot of tape.

I was really neat about it... so it took me about 45 min to do that. But if you just do it in a whatever fashion to just get the areas covered, you can do this in like 20 or 25 min.
