Salt Stain Removal
Just picked up a new commuter for myself, a 2000 Integra GSR. Everything is totally perfect on the car except for the engine bay. The only issue that I have with the car is that it comes from Connecticut, so there are salt stains all over the engine, distrubutor, etc. Is there any way that you guys know how to get rid of those stains?
I have tried metal polish as well as degreaser and other stuff, and I still haven't gotten rid of them. Any help that you guys can give would be totally appreciated as I can't stand how dirty that it makes everything look.
Thanks a lot.

This happens with S2000s also. In fact, it happens with all kinds of cars. They may not be "salt" stains. It's just the type of metal that those components are made of and they tend to get pitted through oxidation of some sort. Short of taking the thing out of the car and sanding and painting it, that's the way it is.
