Default sheen on top from brushing?

I had some muddy seagull footprints on the top that I finally managed to get out after a few tries with a soft toothbrush. But I noticed that the top has a bit of a shine/sheen in the areas where I brushed, which I assume is due to the brushing action on the vinyl buffing it a bit. You can't see it head on, but it's there when the top is viewed from certain shallow angles. Anybody else seen this? It's a new top, so I am hoping that the shiny parts will blend in as I wash the car more and brush the top each time. If anyone has dealt with this before, I would be curious to know what you learned.

I had something similar to that when I used to have an S. car was 6 yrs old when I got rid of it. I did however wash the top with a larger, softer brush. It helped clean around the seams better, and the top over all.

What are you using for protectant?

I have been using 303, and it helps mask the shiny parts a bit, but they still stand out.

So will RaggTopp maybe hide it better than 303? Worth a try I guess.
