I wear a latex glove and rub the grease into the rubber. I let it sit for 30+ minutes and then wipe off the excess.

Shin Etsu keeps the rubber seals supple and prevents them from sticking, which is not unimportant for convertibles. Apply it to the weatherstripping around the top, doors, and trunk.

I have adopted the routine of applying the Shin Etsu to the weatherstripping every fall, before winter begins. In the spring and summer I use M40 to keep the seals clean. This seems to be working fine for me.

Apply it,with a folded shop towel,(thin coat,no need to wipe off the excess,)massaged it in the rubber, and you're done.
I do that twice a year,Spring and Fall.
