Default Snow tonight! What do I do?

Damn! Snow starting tonight - and the car's too dirty to put the cover on!

Need some advice: do I let the sky dump 1-3 inches of snow, sleet, ice on my baby, or cover her even though she's dirty?

Maybe I should rinse her off with the hose then cover her?

Help!

Tonight...Snow developing...mixing with sleet after midnight. Snow accumulation up to 2 inch. Lows in the upper 20s. East winds 10 to 15 mph.

Sunday...Breezy. Snow and sleet early...changing to rain. Rain mixing with snow late in the afternoon. Additional snow accumulation up to 1 inch. Highs in the mid 30s. East winds 20 to 25 mph.

You're parking outdoors?

I'd just let it snow, then let tomorrow's rain melt away tonight's snow.

Yeah, no garage unfortunately. I'm gonna leave the car uncovered, Dave at Mid-Atl forum agrees. Thanks!

and the left coast agrees too, even though we dont know what snow is!!!

we also think you should find a garage for your car- then you clean it and keep it indoors...

wanabe: one day, one day. just bought our first house and had to stretch the budget to get our S2K, even with the amazing price we got. In the meantime, I'm going to try to put up some kind of canopy or carport as soon as I can find the time.

You should move to Phoenix. It was 82 degrees today, and it was beautiful. Had on shorts and t-shirt.

You should not be so concerned about having the car covered with snow and ice. The first winter I had my daily driven S, there were a lot of days and nights when I'd get off work and there'd be 6-8" of snow on it.
If you do put the cover on it, do it very carefully and take it off just as carefully so you don't drag the dirt around. Personally, I'd just leave it. It's just frozen water.

xviper, I wouldn't have cared had the car been clean. But it was pretty dirty and I figured the snow & ice sliding around could rub the dirt into the paint. I don't know, I guess I was being a little anal. Just wanna do the best I can! I wish I had a garage.

jayhawker, it would be a pretty boring world if we all lived in the same kind of place. Personally I like the changing seasons. Of course, to each his own! I didn't choose Baltimore, my family did 80 years ago!

Later,
Avi

Not sure if you've seen my "famous" filth pic:

Don't worry, mine's been covered with snow when it's this dirty. It'll be fine. You have clear coat and a bit of wax/polish on it, right?
ps. I have Silverstone, too. If is was black .............. well .............. I'd let it get that dirty too AND get covered with snow (like I did with my black Vette).

I've never known snow to damage paint.

In fact in the past, when it snows I actually feel kind of good with that nice insulating layer of white stuff to keep dust, dirt, bird droppings, salt, etc., away from the clearcoat.
