Which Sonus Clay?
Is the gray sonus clay too aggressive for use on a berlina black S? Would the green be sufficient to remove any left over road crap that is stuck on the paint (my car is a DD)?
can you i.d. the road crap??
if its tar, i wouldnt clay it- some guys do... but tar can contain sand or other grit, which turns clay into sandpaper!! so if you have tar, be very careful with clay

I can't really ID it. It isn't tar. It's just little bits of stuff. The paint just feels rough. It isn't really anything id-able.
when i want to try a new clay, i pull off a piece and do the lower parts of the car first (lower rear)- then inspect... if it passes, then go for it. if any doubt forget it. and the little piece is trashed. if its a go, then i do more lower surfaces with that piece then trash.
i never experiment on the top surfaces-
the gray clay should be fine normally on black- sonus makes a very fine clay... is it green (cant remember right now)? that works really well if you are at all concerned.
