Default Specialty tools for detailing

I can't seem to get the search engine to work for me this morning, so I hope I won't incur the wrath of the repost gods for asking this.
What sorts of things do you folks use when detailing your cars, like removing wax residue from body seams, or cleaning tire sidewalls for example?

dean-
we dont worry about folks not searching in this forum...
but do need a bit more specific question-
btw, did you see the link at the top of our forum? lots a good stuff there.

to answer the qs you asked:
1. i dont get wax in my seams! and with the products i use, they are very forgiving and easy to remove (synthetics or modern carnubas like p21s dont dust or stick in cracks too much). i assume that you are asking about dried carnuba-
being very careful- first get as much as you can with a microfiber towel... then you can carefully use a mf with a credit card inside or if you need to go deeper a wooden toothpick (again, warning to go slow and easy)

2. i clean my tires with a tire brush and car shampoo. then i finish them with a rubber preservative or something like vinylex or 303.

checkout the thread at the top of the forum and post back any more questions!!
