Get yourself a bottle of both SwirlX and Ultimate Compound. Assuming you are going to work by hand, your process might look like this:

1) Wash
2) Clay
3) Work on deep scratches with Ultimate Compound (foam applicator). Wipe off with clean microfiber towel.
4) Polish entire car with SwirlX (foam applicator). Wipe off with clean microfiber towel.
5) Sealant/Wax (2x)
What sealant/wax is good to apply by hand?

Thanks for all the help. I'll probably look for some Meguiars Wheel Brightener. My rims need a pretty hefty cleaning as well.

Can I use one claybar to go over the whole car?

My Shopping List so far...if you can let me know if the quantities are good that would help a lot. Nearest auto parts store is about 20 minutes out so I'd like to get it all on the first shot.
1 Ultimate Compound
1 SwirlX
1 Claybar package with the spray
1 NXT TechWax 2.0
How many Microfiber Towels?
How many Foam Pads?

Thanks again,

the klasse twins are an excellent choice for your protection...

but aio isnt a true polish. more of a filler- i would use a true polish (menzerna) first with a machine.
btw, aio is similar to another one called "finish first polish"- same thing... more of a filler, but another excellent synthetic

then go for the klasse twins topped by the p21s- our member autopia wrote several articles years ago about this combo. he called it "the perfect shine"
is it possible to apply the aio by hand, i want to apply a synthetic coat then the p21s after using the aio. If its not possible to apply by hand, would it be best to just do:
wash
clay
seal
wax
or is this process a waste of time??

Thanks in advance.

I live in Bergen County and haven't found an auto parts or detailing supply store that carries decent product lines.

I would suggest ordering from Phil at Detailers Domain, the sponsor of this forum. If you order today, you'll have it in a couple of days - - - definitely before the weekend. Phil's turn-around is fantastic and you'll get great products.

Phil has house branded "Uber" products. Pads, Clay and Microfiber.

He is running a sale on Microfiber and you get a 10% discount with the S2KI code.
