After it is wet what does it feel like? Do you always wet the chamois and wring it out before you start drying the car? I have found that my chamois needs to be replaced after about 2 years of use.

yes, normal...
mine are only slightly rough on the rough side- both sides work well for drying.

So the rough side of the chamois won't scratch the car.

Maybe an unorthodox approach to drying your car: USE A LEAFBLOWER!

No joke. It's fast. It's easy. And you don't have to touch your car at all.

Just don't use it early in the morning or late at night when your neighbors are sleeping. If you have a garage, do it in there.

I have black S2000. Purchased it used in November. It has swirl marks. I tried all kinds of products. Then I tried Zaino. Don't waste your time on anything else. I just went to the dealer and they thought my car looked better then the one on the showroom floor. They were asking what I use and writing it down on their little note pads. I have no visible swirl marks. I rarely wash the car. Each evening, I use Zaino gloss enhancer spray. It is also anti-static and repels dust. Spray it on and wipe off with a 100% made in USA white cotton terry towel.

Does it have to be a MF towel from Classic Motoring? Or will any do? Don't mind me, just bored and trying to be a jerk here

I probably have at least 15 microfiber towels and this one is the largest, thickest and the most absorbent. I can do the entire car without stopping to wring it out. I can't do that with any of my other towels. If I don't use this towel, I have to use at least three of my other towels to do what this one will do.

I have learned the hard way that I DO NOT recommend anything unless I have personal experience with the product. I know that Griot's Garage also sells a similar towel, but I don't have any experience with it.
