haha of course not! the answer to our problems, which is quite ironic since i used another meguirs product to sovle this one caused by a meguirs product, lol. basically use used StratchX and went over the tarnished area OVER and OVER, definetly lots of times. good luck!

The key is to used USED ScratchX, or it won't work.

How about knock it off with the tire shine. Shiny tires look pretty cheesy. Of course this is just my worthless opinion.
