Default is there any product???

hey,
i wanted to know if there is any product out there that will treat or remove rust from a vehicle body, there are a couple spots of rust on my parents honda passport, and i am going to do a full cleaning (engine bay, exterior, interior) when it is warm out and wanted to get a treatment for the rust if there is one, for when i do all of this cleaning, the spots are in these locations: one on the front of the left fender, close to the headlight, and one or two on the rear bumper, and a lot of rust of the front bumper itself, but i am going to get a new stock bumper for it so that part doesnt matter as much, but i would appreciate some info on this asap so i can go try to find the product if its out there, price, where i can get it, etc..
thanks for the help,

i have not removed rust from the body for awhile, but have from chrome... this stuff works great for chrome-
maybe someone can comment on painted surfaces, but i think the einszett might work on paint too. rust is like a car-cancer, once it begins it often spreads no matter how much you treat it... but its sure worth trying!

Naval Jelly removes rust. Just not sure if it can be used on auto paint.

dar- good suggestion... if i remember correctly that stuff is an acid (the same acid as in coca cola!) and it does like to eat rust-
i like go least aggressive to more aggressive- so i would be inclined to try something a bit less aggressive first, but i know others who dont agree with me.
naval jelly prob is fine, cause where there is rust there wont be paint anyway (except the areas around it).
i think you can get that stuff at home depot.

would applying some new paint, i.e touch up paint in layers solve the problem for a while?

I was watching an episode of Mythbusters, and they poured cola on the bumper rust and rubbed with aluminum foil and the rust came off pretty well! LOL!

awesome, ill have to try that cola, aluminum foil thing, if im desperate
but another thing, i got a chance to wash the passport today, everything went well, except for the rims...because it has not been washed in years, there is brake dust, grime, dirt, and im sure a lot of other junk on the holes in the rim, i went with the rim brush and meguires wheel cleaner, i got some of it off but that stuff just wont come off, most of the rim is shiny again, but the center and a little bit out is still dark and dirty, covered in the junk i named above, is there a away i can get that stuff off?? on saturday its gonna over 60 degrees, so im washing it again, hopefully i will know how to get the junk off rims by then, and then go on for hours with doing meguire's 3 step clean(paint cleaner, polish, wax)
thanks for the help guys

cant tell if you are saying you have rust on the wheels, but assume not- if not,

one of the strongest/ but safe wheel cleaners that i know of is:

Coming from someone who also dabbles in 40 year old VW's painting over rust DOES NOT solve the problem.....Trust Me

Depending on how much work you are willing to do, the best method for DESTROYING rust so that it doesn't come back is a product called "POR-15" it will permanently destroy the rust and you will have to paint back over it (appears black). You have to get rid of all or it will keep coming back.
