Default Thinking about buying a PC

I was thinking about buying a PC last night on detailers domain. Got to the checkout page and froze thinking, "I should seek words of wizdom."

Anyhow I want to use it to apply zaino products, I got some swirls and fine scratches to remove. I have a hard time removing it all by hand, so I figured a PC would help. Summer time is coming soon and got to look fresh!

Thanks fellas!

if its your first time using a machine. a pc is a GREAT way to learn! if the scratches aren't too bad, and i mean they better be like surface scratches then the pc should be able to get them out, or at least fill em with a glaze. if you looking for some serious scratch removal get a rotary.

swirls will easily come out with the pc and a polish, just takes some patience. youll love the look of applying polishes with a machine. looks 10x better than doing it by hand

a rotary is more powerful, but you can also do more damage. from what the experts here have told me it is very hard to destroy or burn your paint with a PC.

and as you get good with it you will be able to take out pretty major swirls. some of the really talented guys on here "only" have a PC.

I bought mine a year ago and I am very happy I did.

thats true you can do more damage, but only if your not experienced. start with a pc as a beginner. it does wonders, but if your looking for scratch removal a rotary will the do the job, ive used a rotary all my life, and just recently got a pc. i use the pc for minor swirl removal. and the rotary is now only used for the heavy cutting and buffing

I'm intrigued by that comment. What products exactly are you going to use?

Zaino Z2 and Z5 polish aren't really polishes. They have no abrasives and really should be applied by hand. Z-PC? I'd look for something else to remove swirls and scratches.

Skip the PC and get the UDM (Ultimate Detailing Machine).

I've used the PC on my last four cars. It's great for polishing. I even use it sometimes for final buffing. I love the results. Just get it, you won't regret it.
