Default Thinking of getting Zaino

I am thinking of getting some zaino for my s, but I am getting mixed feelings about it. I am wondering if anyone can tell me which products of the zaino line (z2,z3 or what) I would need to get for my car. It is only about 6 months old and washed every other week, so it doesnt seem to need a claybar treatment.
My questions are....
Do I need to get zfx? If I dont get it, how long does a typical cure time last before I can buff it off?
How many coats are recommended? Does the swirl remover do a good job?
Your imput would be appreaciated. Thanks guys.

jeremy...
keep it simple.
the swirl remover is not a swirl remover- it is a swirl mask and you prob dont need it yet.
i would just start with z1 and z2, but i know others will disagree with me-
wash the car (if you have ever used wax or other synthetic then use dawn to wash with), dry and apply z1. dont take it off. apply very thin coat. then apply z2. let it cure about an hour or so while you detail the interior and the wheels, under the hood, etc... then remove it.
then enjoy!
the next time you wash the car, put another coat of z2.
by that time you might be ready for a few more products...
and if not just keep washing and z2ing until you are!

i recommend getting the ZFX...it cures it within an hour instead of leaving ur car in the garage for the whole night.

i recommend for u to liquid dawn ur car then claybar it then wash it again with zaino car wash...then start off by applying z5 w/ZFX...let it dry then wipe off, then apply Z6 enhance spray and wipe off...now apply Z2 w/ZFX, let dry and put Z6....keep on doing that until you get the look that you want...but ALWAYS end with the Z2 coat and Z6!

and viola! ull be done! good luck.

one more thing: you mention that you do not need to claybar the vehicle since its new...

even if its new, it WILL have some contamination from the factory, i HIGHLY recommend that you clay bar it!

Buying wise;

I suggest. ZFX, Z2, Z5, Z7. I Zaino'd my car when it was 1 month old more or less mabye a little bit more. Trust me, it needs clay baring .

Buy clay bar from elsewhere though (I use mothers brand).

Although, because your car is blue, you can get away with no Z5.

Basically the wax needs to be "turned on" if you dont do that it's probably no good (dont really know what happens if you dont activate it). ZFX does what a layer of Z1 does, only easier cus you just mix it with the wax.

Zaino isn't as scary as it seems , people like wannabe really know their stuff so read up on the boards and read the Zaino website product descriptions.

It's not something that you will screw up horribly and scar your car forever.

Zaino clay bar costs about 16 bucks (off the top of my head) and last i remember it doesnt include any lubricant, and tells you to buy Z7 and use that.

The bar itself I'm sure is fine, but add in shipping (even if divided between the products) , and having to buy a lubricant seperately it gets so close if not more than buying a full kit of mothers (which is 18$ around here) that I'd just rather go to a store and buy it.

The full mother's kit comes with a bottle of lubricant (no need to mix solutions and buy spray bottles) and a bottle of carnuba (the carnuba is fairly small probably do 5-6 coats worth though).

Just seems far more convinient for me over ordering a bar that comes with no lubricant.

Also if/once you've done zaino a few times you usually are good enough to drop down a last layer using the carnuba which I havent tried yet, but people on the forums have said its a good thing to finish off with to add an extra shine.

Or heck, sell the wax off to a friend for 3-5 bucks.

Now I have to admit I haven't tried different kind of clay bars, but it doesnt seem like different clay bars have such different results that it is noticable (kinda how asprin is asprin, doesnt matter what brand for the most part). But like I admitted I haven't tried things like wannabe may have, but I find for the cost I get more out of Mothers (product wise and convinience wise) for the price over what Zaino is offering regarding clay bars.
