Default Zaino Application Questions

I am getting ready to order some Zaino products and I just want to make sure that I have the process right before I do it. From what I understand, this is what I should do:

-wash the car with Dawn dishsoap
-apply Z-5 activated with ZFX (lots of swirls on black paint)
-buff off
-apply Z-6
-apply Z-2 activated with ZFX
-buff
-apply Z-6
-possibly apply 1 more coat of Z-2 Activated with ZFX
-buff
-apply Z-6

Is there anything that I am missing here? Thanks!

-Matt

matt- a few comments...
1. you do not need z-5 if you dont have swirls.

2. if the swirls are bad, you might want to do a removal instead of a cover. to do that you need a swirl remover (type of polish), and instructions- let us know if you need more info

3. let each coat cure. zfx will speed up the cure, but i still like to leave it on for awhile. i apply and detail another part of the car (such as interior, or wheels) while it is curing)

4. also you might want to consider whether you need to clay the car or not before you zaino (you would not want to clay it after, cause you just have to rezaino it!)

5. the right amount of product will seem like not enough product the first time you use it...

also, i strongly recommend microfiber towels for the process- or if you have a pc, i love to use mine with zaino- speeds up the process, makes the product application more uniform (but it also uses a lot more product).

hope this helps!

Thanks! I am not using it for the s2k, but for my black VW Phaeton which gets swirls really bad if not cared for right. The car is pretty much new, so no clay baring will need to be done, although I did get it for future necesity. Thanks again for your help, and I will post some pics up when I'm done!

Holy crap that is going to take forever.

I do a wash, polish, coat of zaino, polish on my s2k in about 2 hours.

It takes 3 hours on my Passat. The Phaeton's even bigger than a Passat, right?

and reply to a pm that i got about z-6

z-6 is not a swirl remover... it is a swirl cover.
it does a good job of covering light swirls for a couple weeks or so, but they come back-
the only way to get rid of them is a swirl remover.
since you have a black car, you can use what i used recently (and then they put my car in their ad!):

http://properautocare.com/3mperswirmar.html

btw, my car also had several coats of z2 in addition to the products that they mentioned in the ad (they didnt mention my zaino cause they dont sell it!)
